Interference of societies in careers
We live in a society and keeping pace with the society is important. But drawing a line to it is even more important. Our society interferes in every little thing we do and obviously are more excited about the careers we opt for. Society still thinks that science is a career for the intelligent lot and commerce and arts are looked down upon. Some parents just to keep their status symbol in the society intact impose this on their kids. Parents should understand that choosing careers should not be their look out and they should not be bothered about such issues.
To keep pace with the society every parent today wants their child to be either an engineer or a doctor. But with the wide choice of careers available today children do not want to stick to these and have interests skewed in other careers also. Giving them due respect the parents should guide them and not just think about the people and the society. This is not a problem in places where people aren’t educated. The educated lot in the urban cities also has the same thinking which is not healthy and polluted the society and more importantly the child’s future. Choosing careers should be one’s own lookout and no amount of interference should be tolerated.
